{CROSSFITTERS SAVE THIS ONE} When you exercise at a high intensity the body makes most of its energy from carbohydrates, either breaking it down aerobically (with oxygen), or anaerobically (without oxygen), forming lactic acid - or a combination of both (like in CrossFit WODs that go anywhere between 5-20 minutes). In the picture above, I am showing you a recent study that was done on a 12-minute CrossFit workout in which initially everyone did the workout eating the same amount of carbohydrates. Then, they gave one group of individuals (group B) three additional days of high carbohydrates while the other group (group A) just ate the standard normal amount of carbohydrates for those 3 days. They then retested the workout and those in Group B got on average nine repetitions more than the other group. This means they improved their score by nine reps more than the first group improved. Now this is pretty relevant for anyone who knows about CrossFit scores or is doing the Open or if you're on that cusp or trying to be competitive. 9 reps more is a huge, huge difference in performance. Now obviously you don’t want to just go crazy with the carbs either if your body isn’t used to it. Which is why I recommend using carb cycling as a strategy to help improve your performance without affecting your digestion or weight or make you feel heavier. CrossFitters are always searching for that edge– a new technique, a training regimen, a piece of gear or article of clothing that might help them shave minutes or seconds off their time, lead to greater strength gains or speed up their recovery after difficult sessions. But I see far too many ignore a simple and completely underrated performance hack: Carb Cycling smartly based on when you train. When looking for your highest possible power or speed output (which is the goal with CrossFit workouts, particularly during the open) carbs are incredibly helpful for getting the body to produce its best results – and truly letting

TRICEP PUSHDOWNS . Tag ur gym friends💪💪 . Tricep pushdowns are one of my go to tricep isolation exercises. There are various attachments you can use including this v-bar one. I prefer the bar when I’m doing slightly heavier weight because it allows you to overload your triceps more than a rope. - The two most common mistakes are using too much momentum and leaning too far forward to use your whole upper body to move the weight. You should lean forward but only slightly. Make sure you control the weight and feel that tricep contraction. . Credit - @apfau .
