I went to the gym for the first time in almost a month today. my anorexia has been trying very hard to get me back and I have been doing my best to battle it, but it’s hard. unless you’ve been through something like it, you wouldn’t be able to fully comprehend. BUT, I woke up this morning and said “no more”. I went to the gym and took it *a little* easy to get comfortable in the setting again. although I am a little sad about losing almost a month of progress, I felt so happy to be back lifting again. no matter what keeps you from achieving your goals, work hard to work past it. you never know what’s waiting on the other side. you know what’s best for you and it’s up to you to work for that. #girlswholift #gymmotivation #gym #lifting #edrecovery #weightgain #bulking #fitness #fitnessmotivation #gymshark #gymsharkwomen

People say to me a lot, “what drives you”, “how do you stay so motivated”, “I don’t know how you do it”.. . I am driven to to become world champion. I want to win my pro card with the WNBF as well.. . There is a voice in my head saying, “do it, do it. You got your ticket to compete in worlds so why not?”. Then the other voice reminds me what I have coming up that I need to wait until 2021. Just grow, get better and destroy everyone that comes in your path. . I’ll be 32 when the next worlds comes around so I have to prepare extra hard coming up against the young guys in the game. Today's workout was really really well! I highly recommend the @blackstonelabs_official Dust X preworkout! The guy told me it was intense and he was right! I felt like I had unlimited energy and then some after doing two hours of cardio and then proceeding to work my abs, legs and finishing with squats! , This was a pretty difficult decision for me... ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

This was a pretty difficult decision for me... ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ All summer, my goal was fat loss. I was eating in a caloric deficit with a goal to get as lean as possible. I achieved that goal, and was the leanest I’d ever personally been..but knew that it wasn’t sustainable long term if I wanted to keep improving. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ So my current goal? It’s to gain lean muscle. I’m still working to stay relatively lean..but I am eating in a caloric surplus to gain 💪🏼 (and because I LOOOOVE food) ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ This was a really hard decision for me to make..knowing I might lost some ab definition..and might see the scale fluctuate a bit more...but this is necessary for me to grow physically and mentally. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ But I made a decision that for this upcoming Fall Sprint TransPhormation Challenge...my focus will be on gaining lean muscle. I’m excited, and nervous to see the changes that might happen to my body. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I’d love for more friends to join me! Whatever your goal may be, whether it’s fat loss, gaining lean muscle, or just maintaining your weight for the upcoming holiday season.. the TransPhormation Challenge is a great tool to use to help hold you accountable. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ If you’re looking for guidance, and a good place to start..this is it. I know I was petrified at first and I hid away on the treadmill - AND it took me weeks/months to work up the courage to ask for a PT! ⁣ ⁣ But now I realise the gym environment is one of the most supportive communities out there! ⁣ ⁣ Here are a few tips of how to overcome your nerves when you start! 👇⁣ ⁣ 1. Go to the gym with a plan! Whether it be a distance on the treadmill, a set time, workout plan with specific weights ⁣ 2. Listen to your favourite music! You’ll soon forget who is around you. ⁣ 3. Find a friend to train with (start with classes or cardio!) ⁣ 4. Pretend to be confident and you soon will be 😉 ⁣ 5. Go when it isn’t busy - (avoid early morning and 5pm) ⁣ 6. Best thing I ever did - hire a personal trainer or a coach! ⁣ ⁣ Do you have any other tips for someone new starting out? 👇👇

Happy Sunday 🌟 It’s been a really weird couple of weeks for me but I am starting to feel like myself again and getting back into a workout routine! I love going to the gym in Sunday’s because it’s always empty 😬 Plus it’s a really good way to start the new week 😚 today we trained glutes and it was magnificent : ⠀⠀ 1️⃣Front Squats 3X12 — Place the weight/bar on your shoulders, keep your weight on your heels (never your toes) and drive through your glutes 2️⃣Sumo Deadlifts 3X12 — Have a wide stance with your toes pointed at a 45 degree angle 3️⃣Curtsy Lunges 3X8 each leg — Most of your weight should be on your front leg. Take your time with these! 4️⃣Step Ups 3X10 each leg — These can be done with or without weight 5️⃣Good mornings superset with Hack Squat 3X10 each — Your butt cheeks will be screaming 😅 ⠀⠀ Now it’s time to go home and cuddle my cranky toddler until bedtime 🥰 #ipreview via @previewapp

I pushed and lifted more than I thought I would have, Alham'Du'lillah. And it goes to show how amazing the human body has been created, in being able heal, to adapt and retain muscle and mind memory, Sub'ha'nAllah ☝️🙏💪❣️ Life is very much like the gym or an active hobby, regardless of how much you have done, there will always be more to do, but are you actually appreciating what is before you, upon the very journey you put yourself into?
