Finally back home from being all over the place the last few weeks. Not just physically but with my diet too! It’s time to get back on track and there’s no better way than to start with a good-for-the-gut homemade bone stock (that I turned into an Egg Drop Soup with mushroom and green onion) AND drinking my body weight in #KangenWater too! - - Bone-stock is highly nutritional. It helps reduce inflammation, heal the gut which in return boosts immunity, helps digestion, the collagen is great for the joints, etc. etc. - - I used Kangen water in ever step of the process to make this bone stock even more healthy and draw out more flavor! 1. Soaking the raw bones/chicken feet in 11.5 pH to clean (this water emulsifies oil) 2. Blanching the bones/chicken feet in 9.5 pH to remove the impurities 3. Finally transferring everything into the crock-pot filled again with 9.5 pH water and a couple tablespoons of apple cider vinegar and simmering for roughly 20 hours. 4. I used the 2.5 pH Strong Acidic to clean and disinfect everything as I was going. This water kills 99.999% of all viruses, superbugs, bacteria, and mold. Everything from Salmonella and E-Coli to anthrax spores in 30 seconds. I’m not supposed to be here. I wasn’t supposed to be in the fitness industry. I was supposed to be some socially awkward nerd that spent his days playing video games while he managed whatever retail store he could get a job in. ⠀ ⠀ I was not the most athletically gifted kid growing up. I wasn’t very coordinated, I had a horrible jump shot, and I was left handed. Nobody knew how to coach me back then. Not until I took up Shotokan Karate. On that wood floor, it all made sense. One step, one technique, repeated thousands of times, building up to the next technique, and the next, and the next. Step by step, colored belt by colored belt. In a world quickly defined as ‘you either have it or you don’t’, the martial arts taught me one vital lesson. Everyone’s got spirit, and everyone can ‘get it’; the price you pay are reps. In the mid-2000’s (the date of the first pic), the main way into the fitness industry is by way of bodybuilding and physique development. For some miraculous reason, I got in as a trainer having none of that. Just a humility to learn, a borderline nieve-level of tenacity, and a general understanding of people, both in body and in helping them. ( s/o to Steve @feelfitastic for recognizing that). ⠀ ⠀ I wasn’t very strong, and I wasn’t a muscular bodybuilder. I started in the fitness industry as a martial artist, and used that ‘reps mentality’ going from 10,000 kicks to 10,000 lifts. My body wasn’t ‘naturally meant’ to build muscle. My genetics, and upbringing, weren’t designed to create abs, delta,and biceps. It took me literally 15 years to put on 20 pounds of hard-earned muscle. ⠀ ⠀ The takeways from this #TBT / #FBF story: The past doesn’t equal the future, you’re not ‘destined’ to be anything compared to where you’ve been, and the secret to altering anything is reps. One step at a time, one rep at a time, until you’re in the direction YOU want to be in.
